So we have a tree out back that’s like… I dunno, 25 feet from my window, right?  But the branches are big and they get to within say, 10-12 feet from my window.  And anyway, I noticed yesterday a whole bunch of dumbass birds flying INTO my window from said tree.  No idea why.  They where just bouncing off and flying away, not hurt or anything (except maybe if bird’s have egos) and so, just a moment ago they where doing so again.  Only this time my cat Drizzle happened to be relaxing here, sitting on my lap.  And he hears this tapping/plunking at the window and gets all excited.  And so he jumps down, runs over, and I pull the curtain and shade back so he can see.  And he starts going nuts, making this noise we call a “raptor” noise (usually, only our other cat Boo does this - it’s like a not-quite meow noise, like the noise is silent and we’re just hearing the throat muscles trying to meow?) and so he starts making it and then proceeds to jump at the window as if he’s going to go through it and get the damn birds, and of course bonks off of it and falls down.  And it’s just cute cause he’s silly and he’s like “I want them birds, gimme them birds!  Imma get you, birds!” and then once he’s smacked himself on the glass and fallen he’s like, “fuck that!  dumb birds, stupid window, I’m done with this” and goes and sits in the middle of the room with his back to the window like “phh, hell with that” :D :P
