Re-blogging is like a round of applause IMHO, really makes me happy to see my stuff re-blogged; even if I myself re-blogged it from someone else. Likes are good too, but they're like a thumbs up. Applause trumps a thumbs up, you know?

“Welcome to the Party, Pal!”

I just watched “Die Hard” for December!  I watch it every December, as it’s a true Christmas classic.  Oh, it might not be bright and cheerful or corny and sappy… but it’s set at Christmas, with a lot of references to such, and Christmas music, and… yeah… so… bite me if you don’t like it.  =P

I started doing this in 1997, when I first saw the film on basic cable one December night while cleaning my room.  It was a few years before I had it on DVD, so I had to endure VHS and/or basic cable repeats until then.  No film should ever be watched on non-pay television.  They just gut the thing to death, whether for time or for content.

If you’ve never seen the original “Die Hard” then you’re doing yourself a great disservice.  It’s one of the top 3 best action movies of all time, and it’s from 1988 so it’s pre-CGI and when a movie actually had to have some story or character to stand on, you know?

Anyone else watch “Die Hard” every year for Christmas?

Michael Fassbender should be the Son of Hans Grubber…

I think they should have Michael Fassbender play the previously unknown-to-exist Son of the late Hans Gruber in the new “Die Hard” movie.

I just think he could do a good job at such.

We know “A Good Day to Die Hard” features John McClane Jr.

They seem to not be having Lucy McClane or whomever Justin Long played returning from “Live Free or Die Hard”…

There’s been no mention at all of a villain, but I think Fassbender would be a brilliant choice and having him be a Gruber would just be fun…

Maybe Hans Jr (Fassbender) wants revenge.  And unlike how his father pretended to be terrorists in order to steal, and his Uncle pretended to be out for revenge in order to steal, Hans Jr pretends to steal in order to get revenge.

Maybe the Lucy and the guy Justin Long played in the last film got involved.  Justin Long’s guy got a job in Russia (where the next movie is to take place).  Maybe they go missing, the two of them.  Maybe John and John Jr decide to go looking for them, themselves.  Cause that’s what a McClane would do in such a scenario.

Maybe Hans Jr took them to lure John in.  Maybe Hans Jr wants to kill Lucy and John Jr in revenge for his father, whom though he was a shit father or some such, still didn’t deserve to be dropped off of a building.

John McClane: “Have we met before?”

Hans Jr: “No.  But I do believe you knew my father.”

John McClane: “Really?  Cause the only euro-trash dipshits I’ve ever known have both been arrogant dumbass crooks that ended up dead.”

Hans Jr: *Sticks gun in John’s face* “My father was an exceptional thief.  He simply didn’t account for foolish Americans who saw too many John Wayne movies to be the fly in the ointment.”

John McClane: “Actually, I was always kind of partial to Roy Rogers.”

Hans Jr: “Perhaps it’s time we put this particular cowboy out to pasture… ” *cocks gun*

John McClane: “Yippy-ki-yay, mother fucker…”

BOOM…

James Bond Vs John McClane?

foolhardyfrank:

After watching a few Brosnan Bond films I had a sudden thought… Who would win in a fight John McClane from Die Hard or James Bond? Hmmm, now that’s a tough one!(No pun intended!)

Bond relies too much on gadgets.  McClane would kick his British ass.
