If you got any of those references, you'll probably enjoy my blog. If you got most of those references? You'll totally love my blog. Its also fairly safe for work with the occasional exception.

Please feel free and heavily encouraged to re-blog anything I've posted. Re-blogging is like a round of applause IMHO, really makes me happy to see my stuff re-blogged; even if I myself re-blogged it from someone else. Likes are good too, but they're like a thumbs up. Applause trumps a thumbs up, you know?

Favorite Things as Evidenced by the Introduction are (In No Particular Order): Star Trek, Battlestar Galactica (modern), Firefly, Batman, Superman, DC Comics, Ghostbusters, Terminator, Cats, My Autographs, old school Star Wars (the prequels suck!), Pretty Genre Gals, Funny Stuff ... and my gods I Sound like a Loser with that List! Oh Well.

Also, I Don't Post a Lot. I'm Much More of a Quality over Quantity type. Usually less than Ten Posts a Day. So you may have to Really Look through your Dash to Notice what I post.

Oh, also a note for my fellow Trekkies: I'm the guy responsible for TrekCore.com's Rare Photo and Ultimately Human specials, and basically flooding the internet via TrekCore with a few thousand awesome and rare Star Trek photos for the past 5 years. So... yeah. Oh and, go through my Archive, it is frakking awesome and shiny!
This tiny little few seconds I’ve made into a GIF alone make the SDCC teaser far superior to the one released in theaters.

So that’s what happened to his red undies!!!!!!

“Man of Steel” Teaser Trailer Confirmed for “Dark Knight Rises”

Finally!  I was beginning to worry.

A few days before the first footage screens at this year’s Comic Con in San Diego, the Alberta Film Ratings board has confirmed that a teaser trailer for the project is on the way.

The G-rated trailer runs 87 seconds and is expected to go online next week sometime, almost certainly attached to copies of “The Dark Knight Rises” from next Friday.

From left to right the photo shows Robert Gerdisch (Whitney Fordham), Jack Foley (Pete Ross), and Dylan Sprayberry (Clark Kent) posing in front of Stunt Coordinator Damon Caro’s chair.

So… wait… is “Man of Steel” doing some sort of brief homage to “Smallville” during a pre-Superman (Clark as a kid) scene/flashback?
IMDB does have two of the three listed as those characters… though IMDB isn’t always/usually reliable early on.
Where the characters of Pete Ross and Whitney Fordham ever in the comics prior to “Smallville”?
Bradley Cooper Cameo as Lex Luthor in MoS?

It’s just a wild, pie-in-the-sky, out-of-left-field rumor right now, but… it’s that Bradley Cooper could be making a cameo in Superman: Man of Steel as bald bad-boy billionaire Lex Luthor.

I’m torn on this.

On the one hand?  I *DO NOT* want to see Lex Luthor in live-action Superman, especially not the movies, for at least 10 years if not longer.

Why?  He’s been over-done to death.  Gene Hackman did the role in 3 out of 4 Christopher Reeve films.  They had him recurring in the 1990’s “Lois & Clark” series.  They had him in “Superman Returns” and they had him for 7 seasons in “Smallville” and frankly… well, imagine that much Joker in Batman.  Think about Joker appearing in 3 out of 4 of the 1990s films, plus two live-action TV series in the span of 15 years.  It would be too much repetition!

(The only exception to this is if Heath Ledger where still alive; in such a case, I think we would all murder to see him reprise the role in Dark Knight Rises… but that’s a different case!)

So while I want a Luthor Moratorium…

…I think Bradley Cooper could play the role very differently and very awesomely…

Imagine if Bruce Wayne or Oliver Queen’s playboy persona was the alter-ego to not a superhero… but a super villain?

Imagine cocky, suave, filthy rich, handsome, playboy Lex Luthor whom everyone simultaneously loves and loathes and considers to be a womanizing tech genius that most people hate out of envy… who is in reality a bad guy, plotting world conquest and selling arms on the black market and wanting to take down the boyscout hero that is Superman?

They tried to make Lex a playboy in Smallville, and did so to a degree, but Bradley Cooper could take it to whole new levels, IMHO, and it would be such a subtle-but-epic shift in the character that I’d be sorely tempted to see how such was handled…

Thoughts?

First Look at Russell Crowe in Costume as Jor-El in Zack Snyder’s Man of Steel!

Meh…
Then again, that’s my opinion of Russell Crowe in general so…
That be Superman.
On Location.
Filming.
In Full Costume.
Including Red Cape.
Oh Yeah…
